Thunderbolts Summertime Stories

These are stories about the Thunderbolts and their friends having some summertime fun.

Chapter 1: Beach Day

• (Courtney was surfing down at the beach on a hot summer day and she was shredding the waves)
• Courtney: Alright! Now, that’s what I call threading the needle! *lands in the water on her surfboard as she shakes herself off* That was awesome! Guys, did you see that? *sees that the beach is deserted* That’s strange… 1400 hours on a hot summer day and the beach is completely deserted? Where is everybody?

Chapter 2: Memorial Day Ice Cream party

• (Courtney and the Thunderbolts were setting up for an ice cream party for Memorial Day in the backyard)
• Elfilin: *carrying some bowls, spoons and napkins* This is gonna be the best ice cream party ever!
• Courtney: You bet, little brother!

Chapter 3: Outdoor Movie Night

• (The Thunderbolts were setting up the backyard for an outdoor movie night by hanging up a projector screen by tying it onto the branches. Not to mention, they invited Courtney’s big sisters; Team CRWBY, Van, the sages and the straw hat pirates)
• Courtney: Looks good, guys! Alright, blankets and pillows?
• Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie: Check!
• Courtney: Refreshments?
• Zak and Applejack: Check!
• Courtney: Movie projector?
• Twilight and Starlight: Check!
• Courtney: Perfect! We’re all set!
• Eclipse: So, which movie are we gonna see tonight?
• Courtney: It’s one of my favorites. Finding Nemo.
• Eclipse: Aw, I love that one.
• Courtney: How’s it going up there, Twilight?
• Twilight: It’s going good, Courtney. Starlight and I have to connect a few more cords and we’ll be all set for movie night!
• Courtney: Good. This is gonna be the best movie night ever!
• Ruby: Sis!
• Courtney: *gasps happily* It’s Ruby! *calls out to her big sister* I’m coming, big sis! Hang on! *hurries over to the backyard gate as she jumps up to try and open it* Uh, a little help here?
• Eclipse: Let’s do the tower!
• Courtney: Got it! *gets up Eclipse’s shoulders*
• Little Betty: *gets up on Courtney’s shoulders as she unlocks the backyard gate*
• Courtney: Good job, girls! *gets off Eclipse’s shoulders*
• Ruby: *opens the gate*
• Courtney: *lets Little Betty down* Hey, guys! Nice to see you. Come in, come in. You’re all just in time for the movie!
• Tulin: So, Courtney. Which movie are we gonna see tonight?
• Courtney: It’s my second favorite Pixar movie; Finding Nemo.
• Riju: Finding Nemo?
• Courtney: Yeah, it’s about a clown fish named Marlin who goes on a journey with a blue tang named Dory who has short term memory loss to find his son; Nemo who was kidnapped by divers.
• Sidon: Interesting.
• Twilight: Courtney! The projector is all set up. We’re ready to start the movie!
• Courtney: Alright! Thanks, Twilight! *to Van, the sages, Team CRWBY, and the straw hats* Okay, everyone. Grab some refreshments and don’t forget to get some pillows and blankets for some comfortable sitting. Remember, single file line for the refreshments.

Chapter 4: The Stoutland Ride Treasure Hunt

• (The Thunderbolts have organized a special activity for Van, the sages, Team CRWBY, and the straw hats at a Pokémon ranch where there are tons of Lillipup, Herdier, and Stoutland)
• Ruby: There’s a lot of Stoutland here.
• Tulin: And look at all the Herdier and Lillipup.
• (The groups head into a barn where some Stoutland wearing saddles are grooming themselves while some others were sleeping)
• Courtney: Here’s what we’re gonna do today, guys. We’re gonna ride on a Stoutland and go on a treasure hunt.
• Ruby: Wow! That sounds like fun, sis!
• Courtney: Alright, gang. Choose a Stoutland that you think is best.
• Yang: *sees a strong, sturdy looking Stoutland* I’m gonna choose this one!
• Blake: *sees a Stoutland that looks smart* I’ll take this one.
• Ruby: *sees a Stoutland that looks fast* This one looks fast! I’ll take this one!
• Weiss: Now, let’s see… Which one should I pick?

Chapter 5: Water Balloon fight!

• (Courtney was filling up some Bunch O Balloons with water from a hose and they were dropped in an empty cooler after being sealed themselves)
• Courtney: This is gonna be so much fun!
• Twilight: *shows up with Starlight* Hey, Courtney. Whatcha doing?
• Courtney: I’m gonna have a water balloon fight! Wanna join me?
• Starlight: Sure. What’s the worst that can happen?
• Courtney: And maybe, we can get Van and the others in on the fun by surprise attacking them. *sees Van, the sages and the straw hat pirates!* Oh! There they are now! *sneaks behind a rock and grabs a water balloon from the cooler as she snickers and whispers* Ready… Aim… Fire!! *throws the water balloon*
• (The water balloon hits Brook from behind the head)
• Brook: Hey! Who threw that?
• Courtney: *pretends to act innocent and whistles while secretly hiding another water balloon behind her back*
• Brook: Courtney, was it you?
• Courtney: What are you talking about? I didn’t do nothin’. *snickers quietly to herself*
• Brook: Okay…
• (As soon as Brook turns around, Courtney takes out the water balloon she was secretly hiding behind her back)
• Courtney: *to Brook* Think fast! *throws the water balloon*
• Yang: *catches the water balloon before it hits Brook as she squeezes it to pop it and then looks at her little sister, sternly* Sis… What did we say about throwing water balloons at friends?
• Courtney: *her ears drop down* That it’s not very nice…
• Blake: *raises an eyebrow* And?
• Courtney: And it’s a waste of water… But, I was just having fun.
• Ruby: We know that, sis. *picks up her little sister and holds her in her arms* But, not everyone enjoys water balloon fights.
• Courtney: Oh, right. Sorry.
• Weiss: Tell that to Brook.
• Courtney: Yes, Weiss… *to Brook* Sorry, Brook… I was just having a bit of fun…

Chapter 6: Going to Lagoon

• (The Thunderbolts along with Van, the sages, Team CRWBY, and the straw hats were going to an amusement park called Lagoon in Farmington, Utah. After paying up front and getting wristbands, they enter the park)
• Courtney: *to Van, Tulin, Yunobo, Riju, Sidon, Team CRWBY and the straw hats* This is it, guys! Welcome to Lagoon! Established July 15th, 1886.
• Tulin: Wow! This place is amazing!
• Ruby: And busy.
• Courtney: I know right? *gestures to the oldest ride at Lagoon; The Roller Coaster* This is the Roller Coaster. It was built in 1921. It is the second oldest ride here at Lagoon.
• Tulin: Wow…
• Courtney: Come on, gang! I’ll show you around. And we can ride some of the roller coasters while we’re at it.
• (They walk around Lagoon)
• Sidon: This place is extraordinary! So many rides and games.
• Courtney: I know right? I love this place SO much!
• Chopper: *sees a tall steel tower and points to it* What’s with that ride?
• Courtney: Oh! That’s Cannibal! It’s really fun!

Chapter 8: The Hawaiian Luau

• (The Thunderbolts were doing an authentic Hawaiian Luau in their backyard. It had tiki torches, hanging lights, grass skirts on the refreshments table, and everything else Hawaiian)
• Courtney: *does the hula while wearing a grass skirt, a lei flower necklace and a hibiscus flower behind her ear and sings* Aloha ’Oe, aloha ’oe. *hums and keeps on dancing the hula*
• Starlight: *wearing a purple lei flower necklace and a white hibiscus flower in her mane* Wow, Courtney is really enjoying this, huh?
• Zak: *wearing a grass skirt* Yep! She sure is.
• Courtney: *keeps on humming "Aloha ’Oe" and dancing the hula*
• Eclipse: *to Little Betty* Let’s dance with her!
• Little Betty: Yeah!
• (They join Courtney in dancing the hula as they do a coordinated dance together)
• Zak: Also, I can’t wait for our guests to arrive. Then, we can get this luau started!
• Spike: Me too! It’s gonna be fun!
• Blake: Hello?
• Zak: It’s them! Twilight, Starlight, do you have the lei flower necklaces ready?
• Twilight: *uses her magic to levitate the lei flower necklaces with Starlight* Yep.
• Zak: Perfect! Let’s go welcome our guests, Hawaiian style!
• (They head over to the backyard gate and open it as Van, the sages, Team CRWBY and the straw hats arrive)
• Twilight: Aloha, everyone! *gives them each a lei flower necklace with Starlight* Welcome to the luau!
• Chopper: *looks at his lei flower necklace* I don’t get this at all…
• Blake: Chopper, it’s Hawaiian hospitality. *to Twilight* Aloha, Twilight.
• Ruby: Have you seen our little sister? Where is she?
• Twilight: Oh! She’s right over there, dancing the hula with Eclipse and Little Betty.
• (The three pups kept on dancing the hula as they posed like Hawaiian dancers should and they all applaud for their hula performance)
• Courtney: Aloha, everyone!

Chapter 9: Independence Day Barbecue

• (The Thunderbolts were setting up the backyard for their Fourth of July barbecue)
• Zak: More over there! Put those banner flags a little lower! Are those hanging lights ready, Courtney?
• Courtney: Almost, Zak. One of these bulbs must be loose. *tightens a bulb* It’ll take me while to find it.
• Zak: Never mind, Courtney. Just start sweeping up the patio over there. *goes up a ladder but he had the string of lights around his ankle*
• Courtney: *finds the loose bulb* Aha! Found it! *grabs it*
• Zak: Whoa!!! *falls off the ladder and crash lands on Courtney*
• Both: Oof!
• Courtney: Man, who knew setting up for a barbecue could be this hard…
• Zak: Don’t worry, we can do this together!
• Courtney: *picks up the decorations that Zak dropped*
• Zak: Alright, charge!!! *runs up the ladder but goes too far* Uh oh! *lands on the ground* Oof!
• Yang: Oooh! That’s gotta hurt!
• Zak: *has stars swirling around his head* Oh…
• Ruby: Don’t worry, Zak. I’ll help you up. *helps Zak up*
• Tulin: Uh, Zak? What’s so important about the Fourth of July? Why do you guys celebrate it?
• Zak: *dusts himself off after Ruby helped him up* Well, Tulin. It’s to celebrate our freedom and independence from England. A long, long time ago, King George the 3rd and the Parliament imposed taxes on all the colonies and the people living in the colonies were not allowed to vote or help make any laws. So, a group of colonists banded together and called themselves; The Sons of Liberty and orchestrated the Boston Tea Party, a protest against unfair taxation with the rallying cry of "No taxation without representation!".
• Courtney: And after the Boston Tea Party, King George the 3rd instituted new rules called the Intolerable Acts that were intended to make the colonists give up their fight for independence. This only made them want their freedom even more. So, they called together a convention of delegates from each of the 13 colonies and met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Together, they signed an important document called the Declaration of Independence. After declaring their independence, they went off to war with England. And along with some help from our French allies, we won.

Chapter 10: Pool Party!

• (It was a very hot summer day and the Thunderbolts were having fun in their Olympic size swimming pool)
• Zak: *beckons Courtney to jump into the pool while holding onto a ledge of the pool* Come on in, Courts! The water is fine!
• Courtney: *jumps off the ledge of the pool while hugging her legs close to her chest* CANNONBALL!!! *lands in the water, making a big splash and rises up after jumping in as she spits the pool water out of her mouth and laughs*
• Elfilin: Me next! Cannonball!! *lands in the water and makes a little splash as he pops up out of the water and swims over to Courtney* Big sis, did you see that? I think that was my best one!
• Courtney: Eh, you need to put more ball in your cannon.
• Zak: Hey, wanna play Marco, Polo?
• Courtney: Sure! I’m in!
• Elfilin: I wanna play too!
• Zak: Okay. Let’s do this! *closes his eyes and swims around* Marco!
• Courtney and Elfilin: Polo!
• Zak: Marco!
• Courtney and Elfilin: Polo!
• Zak: Marco!
• Courtney and Elfilin: Polo!

Chapter 11: The Backyard Summer Olympics

• (Courtney and the Thunderbolts have organized their own Summer Olympics games in their own backyard. They were setting up the stands for the attendees and the booth for the host and their co-host)
• Courtney: This is gonna be the best backyard Summer Olympics ever!!
• Zak: *putting up the flag garlands* You bet, sis!
• Lee Clark: *polishes the huge torch that is the symbol of the Olympics*
• Rainbow Dash: *sets up the hurdles for the 110m hurdles race*
• Twilight: *uses her magic with Starlight to set up the trampoline for the trampoline event*
• Lee Clark: *cleans off the poles for the Pole vault event*
• Applejack: *gets the javelins ready by lining them up neatly*
• Rarity: *sewing up the tears in the fencing outfits for the fencing event*
• Pinkie Pie: *gets the targets up for the archery event with Fluttershy’s help*
• Courtney: Everything’s looking good so far! Can’t wait for us to compete in the backyard Summer Olympics!
• Zak: And it’s a good thing that we’ve got plenty of medals for first, second and third place.
• Courtney: Also, I invited my big sisters, Van, the sages, and the straw hats to compete in the backyard Olympics.
• Rainbow Dash: Aw yeah! The more competition the better!
• Courtney: *giggles* Classic Dashie.
• Anakin: Alright, everyone. Let’s get ready for the opening ceremony!
• ???: Not without us!
• Courtney: *sees Van, the sages, Team CRWBY, and the straw hats* Hey, guys! Glad you could make it! You’re all just in time. We’re about to get ready for the opening ceremony!
• Elfilin: And the Cutie Mark Crusaders are gonna light the huge torch! *gestures to the huge torch*
• Tulin: Whoa! That is one big torch!
• Courtney: Yep, the torch is an important part of the Olympics. The Olympics were inspired by the ancient Olympic games that were held in Olympia, Greece from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD.
• (Some feedback was heard from the host booth)
• Spike: *speaks into his microphone* Testing, testing!
• Pinkie Pie: *speaks into her microphone, loudly* IS THIS THING ON?!
• (Everyone covers their ears)
• Courtney: Pinkie! Not so loud! We can hear you and Spike!
• Weiss: So, there’s no need to shout!
• Chopper: Yeah, you nearly blasted our ear drums off!
• Pinkie Pie: Sorry…
• Spike: Okay. *clears his throat as he speaks into his microphone* Ladies and gentlemen, fillies and gentlecolts, this is Spike…
• Pinkie Pie: *speaks into her microphone* And Pinkie Pie!
• Spike: And we are pleased to welcome you to the Backyard Summer Olympics!
• Yang: But, there’s no guests. Where are they?
• Courtney: *sees some familiar faces arrive* Oh, there they are!
• (The Kamen Rider Club Z, the Lion Guard, the Night Pride, Simba, Nala, Kiara, Tiifu, Zuri, Kovu, Vitani, the Paw Patrol, Iris, Talia, Auriana, Amaru, Carissa, Lyna, Elena, Isabel, Naomi, Mateo, Gabe, Esteban, Luisa, Francisco, the jaquins (including King Verago), Sophia, the sapphires, the citizens of the Shatterverse and some other familiar faces from all over Equestria and beyond the borders arrive for the Olympics)
• Marc Clark: *guides the crowd of attendees into the stands* Right this way, folks. Single file line. No pushing, shoving or cutting in front please.
• (The crowd takes their seats while the royal attendees head up to the Royal VIP stands. Courtney and some others were getting ready for the 110 meter hurdles race back in the locker rooms until she peeks out from behind the curtain with Van, Luffy, Ruby, and Tulin to see her mother; Princess Celestia along with her aunts; Princess Luna and Princess Cadence sitting right next to Shining Armor (her uncle-in-law) who is holding her little cousin; Princess Flurry Heart)
• Courtney: Oh no, look! *points out her mother along with her aunts who are in the Royal VIP stands* My mom came and she’s with my Aunt Luna.
• Ruby: And Shining Armor, Princess Cadence, and Flurry Heart are with them too!
• Courtney: Oh… *her ears drop down* I hope I don’t make a fool of myself. I don’t wanna disappoint them.
• Ruby: Don’t worry, Courtney. You won’t. Just try your best and remember to have fun.
• Courtney: You’re right. Thanks, big sis.
• (A fanfare was heard!)
• Ruby: The games! They’re about to start! We’d better ready.
• Courtney: Right! Come on, guys! Let’s go! *goes back to the locker rooms to get ready*
• Spike: *on the microphone* Here come the Cutie Mark Crusaders as they light the torch to start the Backyard Summer Olympics! Our first event, the 110m hurdles race! And here come the runners!
• (Everyone cheers for the runners that are participating in the race)
• Courtney: *starts stretching before doing the race*
• Spike: As you can see, Courtney starting to do some stretching. It’s always important to stretch and warm up before running or exercising so you won’t hurt yourself.
• (The runners do some stretching and warming up before they do the race)
• Anakin: Runners! Take your marks!
• (They get into position)
• Anakin: Get set… *fires the race gun*
• (The runners start running down the track and jump over the hurdles)
• Spike: And they’re off! Courtney’s getting a head start and she’s jumping over those hurdles like pro! But wait, Luffy and Van are right on her tail!
• Courtney: *runs and jumps right over the hurdles*
• (The princesses and Shining Armor cheer for Courtney)
• Princess Celestia: That’s my special little girl!
• Princess Luna: Bravo, my dear young niece!
• Princess Cadence: Go, Courtney!
• Shining Armor: Come on, Courtney! Make us proud!
• (They head out crowd cheers very loudly for the runners until Van, Courtney, and Luffy all tie for first place after crossing the finish line)
• Spike: And it’s a three way tie for first place for Courtney, Van and Luffy!
• (The crowd cheers for them and then they move on to the next event)
• Spike: Our next event… The Pole Vault!
• Zak: *to Courtney who is up first* Win this one for Toontown!
• Courtney: *runs while holding the pole* FOR TOONTOWN!!! *pole vaults over the 6.00 meter bar with enough force and lands on the ground*
• (The crowd winces after seeing this)
• Courtney: *shapeshifts into a Number One and points a finger up to represent first place*
• (The crowd cheers for her)
• Rainbow Dash: *to Eclipse who’s up next* Win this one for the gold!
• Eclipse: *runs while holding the pole* FOR THE GOLD!!!! *poles vaults over the bar and lands on the ground*
