Cale Tucker (Voiced by Matt Damon) is the main hero in the movie, Titan A.E. Cale is the son of Sam Tucker, who is a lead researcher in Project Titan, which can create an Earth-like planet. However, an alien race call the Drej attack and destroy Earth out of fear of humanity becoming too powerful. Cale and his father are separated in the evacuation as Sam flew the Titan into deep space to keep it safe. 15 years later, Cale was found by a friend of his father, Joseph Korso, captain of the Valkyrie who reveal to Cale that his father encoded a map in the ring he gave to him years before which reveals the Titan's location. After escaping a Drej attack, Cale is brought aboard the Valkyrie where he meet the rest of the crew, Akima Kunimoto the pilot, Grune the chief scientist, Stith the munitions officer and Preed, Korso and Akima's first mate. Together, they travel to the planet Sesharrim where they reveal that the Titan was hidden in the Andali Nedula. Soon after, the Drej attack and capture both Cale and Akima. After Akima was jettison into space, the Drej copied the map and hold him prisoner. But Cale manage to escape and reunite with the crew of the Valkyrie. However, Cale and Akima discover that Korso is working with the Drej and are marooned on a drifter colony. Soon after, Cale and Akima salvage a small starship, the Phoenix go get to the Titan before Korso or the Drej does. Luckily, Cale and Akima made it to the Titan first and Cale saw a prerecorded message left by his father, apologizing for breaking his promise of being together and reveal that the Titan can make a new home for humanity, but the message was interrupted when Preed and Korso arrived. In a trust,Preed reveal to be a mole for the Drej after they spared his life. Soon, the Drej arrived and to finish what they started. Korso killed Preed and Cale try to bring the Titan online and since the ship have no power, he suggest on using the Drej since they're made of pure energy. Korso sacrifice himself to allow Cale to finish the repair. The Titan absorb the Drej, destroying them and create a new planet, which he named Bob.
