Scratch
Scratch and Grounder (voiced by Phil Hayes and Garry Chalk) are a pair of characters created for the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise, most prominently featured in the animated series Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. The characters are based off of two drone Badniks seen in the Sega Genesis game Sonic the Hedgehog 2; Grounder is based on the Badniks of the same name in the Aquatic Ruin Zone, while Scratch appears to be inspired by the Clucker Badniks that appear in the Wing Fortress Zone. In the animated series, they are a pair of Badniks created by Dr. Robotnik for his Super Special Sonic Search and Smash Squad, whose assignment is to capture Sonic the Hedgehog, a task they always fail at.
In the Christmas special, Sonic Christmas Blast, Scratch and Grounder help their boss in his plan to take over Christmas.
