Rhedosaurus is a monstrous dinosaur, and the main antagonist of "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms." This creature is the inspiration to bring forth Godzilla. This creature met his end when he is hit with a nuclear fission, causing the creature to die after the injection. This dinosaur is brought to life by Ray Harryhausen in 1953. The Rhedosaurus was one of Ray Haaryhausen's first independent films ever created. This creature would appear as a servant, and executioner to replace for Lucifer, (just as Jabba has The Rancor). The Rhedosaurus is terrible, deadly, and one of the most furocious dinosaurs ever to grace the silver screen, made up ones anyway. This Dinosaur is named after Ray Harryhausen, in rumor that is.
