Ray the Firefly (voiced by Jim Cummings) is a loyal and good firefly in Jaden meets The Princess and The Frog. He helped Tiana and Naveen find Mama Odie so that they could be back to their human forms. He is madly in love with a firefly named Evangeline, who is really an evening star. Later, he helps Naveen and Tiana get to Charlotte so that she can kiss Naveen and break the spell.
SPOILER ALERT
Ray was killed by Dr. Facilier. But even though he died his spirit becomes an evening star next to Evangeline. As stars, Ray and Evangeline watch over Tiana and Naveen's wedding and the opening of their restaurant.

- Ray will be mentioned in Jaden meets Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
- Ray will meet Jeffrey and his team in Jeffrey & Friends' Adventures of The Princess and The Frog. After his death, Jeffrey will hope to one day bring him back. However, he may change his mind.
- Ray will be mentioned in Jeffrey, Jaden & Friends' Storm Adventures of Rise of the Guardians.
- Ray returns as a spirit in Jeffrey, Jaden, Hiccup & Friends meet Coco.
