Rat is a sadistic, narcissistic, genius, megalomaniac, brutal, psychotic rat. He joins forces with Poncho at first to prove his superiority to Dogbert, but stays simply because he is too lazy to muster the determination to leave.
Rat exhibits a fierce hatred of government, believing many of the laws restrict people's freedoms.
