Private (voiced by Christopher Knights in movies, and James Patrick Stuart in the series) is a character in the Madagascar franchise and serves as... well... the Private of Skipper's platoon. In Jaden goes to Madagascar, he escaped with the other penguins from the Central Park Zoo to get to Antartica. After getting there, they hate it. So, they went to Madagascar, and helped Marty, Jaden, and the others fight off the Fossa.
