Axelrod's defeat.
Sir Miles Axelrod (voiced by Eddie Izzard) is the main antagonist of Cars 2.
He is a former oil baron who converted himself into an electric car and has dedicated his life to finding an alternative fuel. He claimed to have done so with his "Allinol", and created the World Grand Prix to prove what it can do.
SPOILER ALERT
But it was soon discovered that Axelrod was behind the Lemons' plot to sabotage alternative fuel and (being the owners of the world's largest untapped oil reserve in the world) become rich off of selling oil. But his plan was stopped when Mater caught him and exposed the engine under his hood.
