Mandalore is the fifth planet in the Mandalore System in the Outer Rim and home to the Mandalorians, a warrior culture who fought the Jedi for generations during the Old Republic. However, during The Clone Wars, Mandalore became a a neutral planet under the rule of Duchess Satine Kryze. A splinter group known as Death Watch, under the command of Pre Vizsla, dethroned the Duchess with the help of the former Sith Lord, Darth Maul and returned Mandalore to its warrior ways like back in the Old Republic. Mandalore is also home to Jango Fett, Sabine Wren, and Ursa Wren.
