Katara (Voiced by Mae Whitman) is one of the main heroes in the TV show, Avatar: The Last Airbender. She's also the only Water-Bender in her tribe.
Katara was born in the Southern Water-Tribe with her brother, Sokka, mother and father.
After a Fire Nation ride that claimed her mother, she hold an undying hatred against the Fire Nation along with her brother.
After their father left to fight the Fire Nation along side the Earth Kingdom, she and her brother stayed to look after the tribe with their grandmother. Some say that the Avatar Cycle was destroyed since the Fire Nation wiped out the Air Nomads off the face of the planet, but Katara however, never lost hope.
Two years later while fishing, they meet Avatar Aang, and his pet, Appa. Aang suggest about going to the North Pole to help her to become a Water-Bender.
Soon, she discover the dark side of Water-Bending called Blood-Bending which happen once every Full Moon.
She's kind, smart and kid her friends in times of danger.
Eventually, she married Aang in the future.
