Jasper (voiced by Kimberly Brooks) is the main antagonist of Steven Universe Season 1 finale.
Jasper is a Homeworld Gem who was sent by Yellow Diamond as Peridot's escort while she checks on the Cluster. After being defeated by Garnet, Jasper forces Lapis Lazuli to fuse with her, forming Malachite. However, Lapis kept her at bay for a while until Jasper eventually took over. Malachite was soon defeated by Alexandrite, causing Lapis and Jasper to defuse. The Crystal Gems save Lapis, but Jasper disappears into the sea.
Spoiler Alert:
Eventually, she returned and was more unstable than ever. She begged Lapis to fuse with her again, claiming that she has changed. But Lapis refused, resulting in Jasper wanting to take her anger out on Steven, who she blamed for Lapis' refusal to fuse with her. Luckily, Lapis saved Steven and sent Jasper flying. Sometime later, she returns and attacks two corrupted Gems, taking their gems in a plan to create her own army against the Crystal Gems. She fought Steven, Amethyst, Connie and Lion with the two Gem monsters she took, but was defeated by Steveonnie, Steven and Connie's fusion form. Having lost, Jasper started to become corrupt and was poofed after Peridot jammed a piece of metal through her.
Trivia
- Even though her fate and location was unknown after "Super Watermelon Island", the Justice Guardians and Team Berk placed a bounty of $7000 on her, but was to be brought in alive and unharmed. And because of how dangerous Jasper is, Jeffrey says that anyone that finds her is not allowed to fight her. As of "Alone at Sea", "Gem Hunt" and "Crack the Whip", the bounty was raised to $15,000.
- In the Thunderbolts Adventure Series, Jasper is after Baby Skye for no reason and Courtney doesn't know why she is planning to hurt her but Courtney will do everything in her power to protect Baby Skye.
- As of "Change Your Mind", Jasper is no longer corrupted and her bounty has been dropped.
- Spoiler Alert: After the events of Steven Universe Future, it's possible that Jasper has reformed, but not entirely.
