Ghirahim is the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. A demon created by Demise during the origins of the world of Hyrule, Ghirahim served as the lieutenant and second-in-command to Demise. After Demise' defeat, Ghirahim dedicated himself to facilitating Demise' resurrection. He acted on this plan when by chasing after and attempting to capture the Goddess Hylia's mortal vessel, Princess Zelda.
Ghirahim's plan was to use the goddess' spirit to resurrection Demise and though his plan suceeded, Demise and himself were defeated by Link, the chosen hero.
Highly confident and egotisitcal, Ghirahim possesses a theatrical attitude, speaking in eloquent manners and performing over-exaggerated gestures. He is also incredible vain, often demanding to be addressed as "Lord Ghirahim." His is completely ruthless and solely devoted only to seeing Demise succeed.
