Edward 'Ed' Elric (Voiced by Vic Mignogona) is one of the main heroes in the anime Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Edward is the son of Trisha and Hohenheim Elric and older brother to Alphonse 'Al' Elric. Hohenheim left Trisha for reasons unknown to Ed (Hohenheim Left to atone for a crime he didn’t commit and to become mortal), which anger's Edward for many years. He and his brother have a happy childhood, but that happiness end when Trisha died of an unknown sickness. Stricken with grief over the lost of their mother, El and Al spend the next 5 years trying to bring her back. They soon discover an Alchemy that can bring back a human, called Human Transmutation, which unknown to him and his brother, is the most forbidden form of Alchemy. It soon back-fires, which lost an arm and a leg (both literally and figuratively) and Al's body got obliterated. Knowing what he and his brother have done, Ed use a Blood Seal to put Al's soul in a suit of armor, while Ed have prosthetic limbs call Automail made by a childhood friend Winry Rockbell, to replace his missing arm and leg. Now he and Alphonse go by the name 'Fullmetal Alchemists' and travel around the world to find the mythical Philosopher's Stone which can restore what the brothers have lost.
