Eclipse's Meowth is a Dark-type Pokemon. Eclipse found this Meowth on the streets, searching for food to eat. Eclipse gave some chocolate malasadas to this hungry Pokemon and it asked to come along with Eclipse. Eclipse happily accepts it and catches it. Now, Meowth doesn't have to worry about searching the streets for food ever again.
