Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler) is the owner of Hotel Transylvania, and is Mavis' over-protective father. In Jaden Goes to Hotel Transylvania, after loosing his wife to humans, he built the hotel as a safe place for monsters to live away from humans. When Mavis' 118th birthday was coming, a human named Jonathan showed up at the hotel, and Dracula was determined to get him out. Especially since Jonathan and Mavis fell in love with each other. But after realizing that Mavis' happiness was most important to him, he allowed them to be together and see the world.
