"You still don’t get it, do you? It’s not a place you go, it’s a place you know" -Curious Cat telling Team RWBY and Jaune about how to get to the Great Tree before possessing a broken, emotionless Neo
The Curious Cat (Voiced by Robbie Daymond) was a creature residing in the Ever After and the main antagonist of RWBY: Volume 9. They acted as a guide for Team RWBY but it is revealed that they were only trying to wear Ruby down, emotionally to forcibly possess her body in order to travel to Remnant to find out why their makers; The Gods abandoned them. After Ruby ascends to the Great Tree, they possess Neo’s body instead becoming NeoCat. The cat was then devoured by the Jabberwalker clones created by Neo’s semblance after being defeated by Team RWBY.

- Whenever someone mentions the Curious Cat, Courtney’s emotion magic spirals out of control. Or when she sees the cat, she attacks them head on in an animalistic rage due to her hatred of them trying to possess her big sister or anyone else in her family in order to protect the ones she loves but gets badly injured by them in the process. She even has PTSD from seeing them trying to possess her big sister or nightmares about this traumatizing moment and worries that they could possess someone else besides her big sister one day and she can’t risk it happening. She also believes that they were made without a heart.
- The Curious Cat will appear again in Van and courtney's adventures of RWBY x One piece: Return of the curious cat!
- The Cat is not only afraid of the Jabberwalker, they are also afraid of Courtney’s Pokémon partner; Ogerpon due to her incredible strength from the masks that she wears.
- The Justice Guardians, The Rainbooms, The MPC and the other heroes will encounter the cat at some point in the future after Courtney has told Jaden, Jeffrey, Hiccup, Twilight, Craig, the 5D’s and the other Adventure Team members including the alternate universe Adventure Teams about the cat’s true colors and the terrible things they have done to harm Ruby and the rest of her family including when they killed Alyx. They will encounter them in Jeffrey, Jaden, Hiccup, Twilight, Courtney & Craig's Storm Adventures of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
