• Elena: I hope it’s not something that’ll threaten Avalor. We’ve all been through enough.
• Esteban: *sighs* This may surprise you, but I had my doubts about your ability to rule and expressed them to anyone who would listen. Higgins, our abuelos-
• Elena: Me.
• Esteban: Hm. Yes, well... I was wrong. You are a good ruler, Elena. And one day, you will make a great queen.
• Elena: Thank you, Esteban. You know, I couldn’t do any of it without you by my side.
• Esteban: This is true.
• Mateo: Whoa!
• (They turn to see Mateo who was tied up after trying to do some lassoing techniques and he had a bucket on his head and one on his feet)
• Mateo: *groans* I think I’ll just stick to tamboritas.
• (Unknown to them, Courtney, Eclipse, Little Betty, Amaru, and Elfilin have stowed away on the ship after Courtney had sensed something fishy about King Joaquin’s letter. The tiny group of friends were hiding behind some crates)
• Courtney: *peeks out from behind the crates*
• Eclipse: *whispers* Courtney, why are we doing this? You heard what Elena said, it’s important royal business.
• Courtney: *gets down and whispers* I don’t think so... After hearing King Joaquin’s letter, I am certain that it is most definitely a trap! I’m not so sure about this.
• Elfilin: *whispers* Well, how will you know that it’s a trap?
• Courtney: *whispers* I know King Joaquin. That letter didn’t sound like him. My mother told me to trust my instincts, and my instincts say it’s gotta be a trap. Besides, haven’t you forgotten about my secret sense? The one where I can tell when others are lying?
• Eclipse: *whispers* Okay. We’ll take your word for it.
• Little Betty, Elfilin, and Amaru: *nods yes in agreement*
• Courtney: *whispers* But, for now, let’s wait until we get to Cariza.

To the castle

• (Courtney and her small group of friends look over the ship to see Elena, Esteban, and Mateo following King Joaquin to the dungeon while the guards return to the ship)
• Courtney: *whispers* Look! King Joaquin is leading Elena to the castle! And Esteban and Mateo are going with her!
• Eclipse: *whispers* We have to follow them!
• Courtney: *whispers to Amaru* Amaru, we’ll need your wings!
• Amaru: *nods yes as he uses his magic to transform into his pegasus form*
• (Courtney, Eclipse, Little Betty, and Elfilin climb up on Amaru’s back and he flies off the ship to follow Elena, Esteban, and Mateo)
• Courtney: *sees King Joaquin lead Elena, Esteban, and Mateo to the dungeon as she points them out* Guys, look down there!
• Eclipse: Looks like they’re going into the dungeon…
• Courtney: Amaru, take us down near those bushes.
• Amaru: *nods in understanding and lands behind the bushes while the girls get off along with Elfilin as he transforms back into his normal form*

Courtney, Eclipse, Little Betty, Elfilin, and Amaru to the rescue!

• (Courtney, Eclipse, Little Betty, Amaru, and Elfilin hide in the bushes while screaming in fear after hearing someone coming. Victor, Carla, and Ash Delgado come out of the castle with Elena who was captured and moving against her will from Ash’s magic)
• Eclipse: *whispers as she peeks out of the bushes with the others* Oh no! It’s Victor and Carla! And they have Elena!
• Courtney: *whispers* But, who’s that? *points to Ash Delgado*
• Little Betty: *whispers* I’ve never seen her before.
• Elfilin: *whispers* Maybe, she’s a malvago just like Victor and Carla.
• Courtney: *whispers* Let’s listen to what they have to say... And be quiet. We don’t want them to hear us.
• (They listen carefully unaware that Gabe, Naomi, Migs, and Skylar are hiding behind the tall trees)
• Naomi: *whispers* I knew something was wrong.
• Migs: *whispers* Who’s that other malvago with them?
• Gabe: *whispers* I don’t know, but they’re all armed.
• Ash: Is everything set up?
• Carla: Just like you wanted. In the Captain’s Quarters.
• Ash: Excellent. Once we get her on the ship, the spell must be performed at exactly the moment the first ray of moonlight rises over the ocean and hits this. *holds up the jewel from the Scepter of Night and shows it to Elena* Look familiar?
• Elena: *gasps* The jewel from the Scepter of Night? How did you get that? *grunts while trying to get free*
• (The girls, Elfilin, and Amaru were shocked after hearing what Ash just said as they pull their heads back into the bushes)
• Courtney: Did you guys hear that?
• Eclipse: Yeah, Elena’s in big trouble when the moon rises tonight!
• Little Betty: We gotta stop them before they drain Elena’s magic!
• Amaru and Elfilin: *nods yes in agreement*
• Courtney: Which is why we have to get on the ship first! Come on! ‘Til the Pride Lands End... *heads over to the ship as the others follow*
• Eclipse, Little Betty, and Elfilin: Lion Guard Defend!!
• Amaru: Amaru!!

Getting on the ship

• (The Delgados get to the port with Elena as Courtney, Eclipse, Little Betty, Amaru, and Elfilin hide behind some barrels)
• Courtney: *peeks out from behind the barrels and whispers* There they are!
• Ash: It takes two malvagos to cast the spell, so Carla will assist me, since she is the stronger malvago.
• Carla: *gasps* I am?!
• Victor: *scoffs* Don’t be ridiculous! She’s still a beginner.
• Ash: As are you, my darling.
• Courtney: *whispers to herself* Oy vey....
• Ash: I studied dark magic for 10 years. I can spot natural talent. And you wouldn’t want to hold your own daughter back, would you?
• Carla: *confused*
• Victor: Of course not, mi amor!
• Little Betty and Eclipse: Blegh!
• Amaru: *disgusted by this*
• Elfilin: *whispers* Gross!
• Courtney: *whispers* Come on, let’s go! I had enough of this villainous romance. Bleck! *sees a port hole and whispers* Come on, we can get in through that port hole!
• (The small group of friends gets in through the port hole without Victor, Carla, and Ash noticing)
• Victor: *whispers to Ash* I will not let you drive a wedge between me and my daughter!
• Ash: How could you think I would do such a thing? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Now, come along, mija. We have a lot of work to do.
• Victor: *grumbles*
• (Unknown to the Delgados, Courtney was spying on them through the port hole and gets down)
• Courtney: They didn’t see us. At least we made it on the ship first. Let’s get to the Captain’s Quarters ASAP! *leads the way*
• Eclipse, Little Betty, and Elfilin: Right!
• Amaru: *nods yes in agreement*
• (They follow her)

Sneaking around the ship/Meeting Ash Delgado

• (Courtney was holding a candelabra to light the way while leading Eclipse, Little Betty, Amaru, and Elfilin to the Captain’s Quarters after getting on the ship first before the Delgados did)
• Eclipse: This place is creepy...
• Little Betty: *nods yes* Uh-huh...
• Elfilin: I’m scared....
• Amaru: *scared*
• Courtney: Shh! We don’t want those malvagos to hear us. And I agree with you, all we’re missing is a big ol’ spooky shadow.
• (A shadow appears on the wall as Elfilin gets scared)
• Elfilin: Big sis! Look!
• Courtney: *sees the shadow, dubbed as Shaggy* ZOINKS!!!
• (They run for it as they run into the door to the Captain’s Quarters as it opens after being rammed open and the small group of friends falls to the ground after running into the door)
• Courtney: Ouch.... That hurt....
• Eclipse: Ow...
• Little Betty: I’m gonna be sore in the morning...
• Elfilin: Me too...
• Amaru: *in pain* Amaru...
• (The girls get up and shake themselves off)
• Courtney: Well, at least we made it to the Captain’s Quarters before those malvagos. Hurry up and close the door!
• (Eclipse, Little Betty, Amaru, and Elfilin close the door to the Captain’s Quarters)
• Courtney: *sighs in relief* We should be safe in here. *her ears twitch as she hears Ash and Carla Delgado* Uh oh! Quick, guys. Hide!
• (Eclipse, Little Betty, Amaru, and Elfilin hide behind the furniture in the Captain’s Quarters but Courtney was trying to find a perfect place to hide as she hides behind a barrel and they see Ash and Carla tie Elena to a chair but they leave for a moment)
• Courtney: Elena! *comes out from behind the barrel and goes over to her* I was so worried! Are you okay?
• Elena: Courtney, you and your friends are in terrible danger. You have to go get help.
• Courtney: But, we have to save you! *bites the ropes with her mouth and tries to get Elena free*
• Ash: Boqato! *bangs her tamborita and blasts Courtney off*
• Elena: Courtney!
• Courtney: *gets up and shakes herself off as she looks up to see Ash Delgado!*
• Ash: What do we have here? *kneels down in front of Courtney and pets her* A lost little perrita?
• Courtney: *smacks her hand away* Hey! I’m not lost!
• Ash: And you can talk too.
• Courtney: Yeah, of course I can talk. I can communicate with all kinds of creatures. And the name’s Courtney. Princess Courtney Elison. And I demand that you release my friend immediately!
• Ash: *laughs evilly at this* Such a funny little princess. *bangs her tamborita* Boqato!
• Courtney: *dodges by flying upwards*
• Carla: She can fly?!
• Courtney: *flies towards Ash and tries to grab the jewel from the Scepter of Night from her*
• Carla: *bangs her tamborita* Boqato!
• Courtney: *gets hit and falls to the ground* Ow.... That hurt....
• Elfilin: *whispers* Courtney! *comes out of hiding* I gotta help her!
• Eclipse: *whispers* Elfilin, no!
• Little Betty: *whispers* You’re gonna get hurt!
• Amaru: *scared for Elfilin*
• (Elfilin flies over as he gets on Ash and hits her)
• Elfilin: You leave my big sister alone!!!
• Courtney: Elfilin!
• Ash: Get off me!
• Carla: *grabs Elfilin* I got him, mamá!
• Elfilin: *grunts as he tries to get free from Carla’s grip* Courtney!
• Carla: *covers Elfilin’s mouth*
• Courtney: *gasps* Don’t hurt him!
• Ash: I would never dream of it... Carla, let him go.
• Carla: *listens to her mother and lets Elfilin go*
• Elfilin: *flies over to Courtney as she hugs him in relief*
• Ash: *points her tamborita at them* I don’t believe we haven’t met before, Princess Courtney. I am Ash. Victor’s wife.
• Carla: My mamá.
• Courtney: *shocked* Mother?! You gotta be kidding me, right?
• Elfilin: You guys are family?!
• Ash: That’s right. *about to use her tamborita* Boqa-
• Eclipse: Hey, you!! *comes out from behind the furniture* Why don’t you pick on somebody your own size?!
• (Amaru and Little Betty come out of hiding too and join Courtney and Elfilin)
• Courtney: *growls angrily at Ash and Carla*
• Ash: Carla, get those four pipsqueaks! The Golden Retriever is mine!
• Courtney: *growls angrily and faces Ash*
• Ash: Time you learned how complicated life can be. *bangs her tamborita* Boqato!
• (Courtney gets knocked back as she gets up)
• Elena: Courtney, guys, run!! Save yourselves!
• Courtney: Not this time, this time I fight!
• Ash: So be it. *faces off against Courtney*

Rescuing Elena

• (Ash and Carla were draining Elena’s magic with the jewel from the Scepter of Night while Courtney and the others were tied up to each other)
• Elena: Wha- What’s it doing?
• Ash: Don’t worry, princess. Soon, all your troubles will be over. Forever.
• Courtney: Leave her alone!
• Elfilin: Yeah! Leave her alone, you big bullies!!
• Ash: Be quiet! Unless you want your magic to be drained next.
• Courtney: *growls angrily at Ash while struggling to break the ropes* Guys! We have to break free!
• Eclipse: We’re trying, Courtney! But, these ropes are too strong!
• (Suddenly, they heard Mateo!)
• Mateo: I just tripped!
• Courtney: *in her mind* Mateo?
• Ash: Someone’s coming.
• Carla: I’ll take care of them. *goes over to the door*
• Ash: *strains to hold the jewel* Carla!
• Courtney: Now’s our chance! Starting biting the ropes! *begins biting the ropes*
• Eclipse, Little Betty, Amaru, and Elfilin: *nods in understanding as they bite the ropes as well*
• (The ropes snap after being bitten through and the small group of friends hide behind a barrel near the door)
• Courtney: Okay, guys! Let’s work together with Naomi and the others and save Elena!
• (They nod to Courtney in understanding)
• Courtney, Eclipse, Little Betty, and Elfilin: RESCUE RANGERS AWAY!!!
• Amaru: Amaru!!
• (Amaru, Eclipse, and Little Betty head out to help Mateo and Naomi with Carla)
• Carla: *sees Mateo and arms herself with her tamborita* You! How did you get out?!
• Mateo: The same way you lost your tamborita.
• Carla: What?
• Naomi: *lassos Carla’s tamborita* Gotcha!
• (Amaru, Eclipse and Little Betty growl angrily at Carla as Mateo points his tamborita at Carla)
• Mateo: And the name’s “Mateo”.
• Carla: *groans in defeat*
• (Back in the Captain’s Quarters, Elena was struggling to get free as Ash continues to drain her magic until...)
• Mateo: *bangs his tamborita* Despoloz!
• Courtney: *fires an electricity breath at the Scepter of Night jewel*
• (The attacks break the jewel, saving Elena from being drained of her magic)
• Elena: *chuckles*
• Courtney: Elena! *jumps onto her lap and hugs her in relief*
• Ash: *bangs her tamborita* Solaza!
• Mateo: *bangs his tamborita to conjure up a shield* Ximocu! *bangs his tamborita again* Solaza!
• Naomi: *lassos Ash’s wrist* Gabe!
• Gabe: *grunts as he throws his sword as Ash’s tamborita, pinning it to the wall*
• Eclipse: Gotcha now, Ash!
• (Amaru, Little Betty, and Elfilin surround Ash while glaring angrily at her)
• Courtney: Ash Delgado. You are under arrest for attempted murder and kidnapping! Not to mention, brainwashing King Joaquin and his guards! You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be against you in a court of law!
• (Ash pulls a dagger out to cut the rope holding her wrist and cuts the ropes off Carla)
• Little Betty: They’re getting away!
• Courtney: Stop them!
• Mateo: *bangs his tamborita* Despoloz!
• (Carla and Ash dodge the spell)
• Ash: *to Elena and Courtney who was still on her lap* Another time, then.
• Eclipse: *runs over to them* Hold it right there!!
• (Ash and Carla jump off the boat and into the ocean)
• Courtney, Eclipse, and Little Betty: *rushes over and barks at Ash and Carla Delgado who fled into the water*
• (Naomi, Gabe, and Mateo look into the water to find Ash and Carla)
• Naomi: *panting* Where are they?
• Gabe: I’ll search the docks!
• Mateo: I’ll go with you!
• (Gabe and Mateo rush off to go search the docks for Ash and Carla Delgado as Naomi rushes to Elena)
• Naomi: Are you okay?
• Elena: *gasping* I think so.
• Naomi: *smiles*
• (Courtney, Eclipse, and Little Betty bite the ropes off Elena and free her)

Epilogue: Heading Home

• (Everyone was on the Avaloran Royal Galleon, heading back home to Avalor)
• Elena: Naomi. I’m sorry we didn’t listen to you about Joaquin’s letter. You were right.
• Naomi: I know. Next time I have a hunch about something, I won’t back down so easily.
• Elena: You better not. *to Courtney, Eclipse, Little Betty, Elfilin, and Amaru* And Courtney, thank you for coming after me. Same for your friends. *pets her on the side of her left ear*
• Courtney: No problem, Elena. I’m just glad that you’re safe.
• Skylar: Princesa, maybe you should make Naomi your chancellor.
• Courtney: Yeah! You should make Naomi your chancellor when you become queen!
• Esteban: Ha! Let us not get carried away.
• Elena: I don’t know. She does give pretty great advice.
• (They laugh as Esteban was confused by this)
