• Rebel Rouge: Courtney, it is what we described. Nine betrayed us and left us behind.
• Courtney: How could you call him a traitor when you don’t have all the facts?! There must be a possible explanation for this!
• Renegade Knuckles: It’s because he only looks out for himself!
• Courtney: *with her ears down as she approaches them* But, there’s gotta be more than meets the eye. If I could just find him and talk to him, this’ll all blow over.
• Rebel Rouge: There’s no way we can talk to that traitor!
• Courtney: But, I can try. Just let me.
• Rebel Rouge: *putting her fingers on the bridge of her nose* Courtney, you’re too young and inexperienced to understand.
• Courtney: *glares angrily at her after hearing those words* I’m not too young and inexperienced!!
• Rebel Rouge: *surprised after hearing that*
• Courtney: I’ve led my own team ever since I lost my adoptive family to Xehanort and Vanitas! I’ve had pick up the pieces all by myself with no home or family left… I was alone for SO long! And I… *sheds some tears and looks down* And I was so afraid of losing them to the same fate… *turns around and faces a wall* And now, I’m stuck in this world… WITH NO WAY OF GETTING BACK HOME!! *punches the wall, hard*
• (This surprises everyone in the room)
• Courtney: *inhales and exhales as she rushes out of the room in tears, hurt after hearing everything about Nine’s betrayal*
• Sonic: Courtney!
• Ruby: Sis! Come back!
• (Rebel and Renegade look at each other and go after her. Outside, Courtney flies off with her alicorn magic activated still in tears)
• Renegade Knuckles: Kid! Get back here!
• Rebel Rouge: Courtney! Wait!
• Courtney: *shouts to them while flying off* LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
• Blake: Rebel! Knucks! I think you might’ve been too hard on her!
• Renegade Knuckles: Too hard on her?! We just told her about what that fox did to us!
• Yang: But, Courtney does have a point. You don’t have all the facts about Nine and there had to be a logical explanation why he did this. You should’ve talked about this calmly.
• Renegade Knuckles: *sighs* You’re right. We shouldn’t have argued with her. But still, you can’t be too careful. I suppose we should go find and talk to her.
• Blake: Give her some time to cool down. She might be too upset to talk right now.
• Rebel Rouge: You’re right. But, I hope she’ll be okay. There are Egg-forcers all over the city.
• Weiss: Don’t worry, Rebel. Courtney is more than capable of handling herself in a fight.
• (Meanwhile, Courtney was flying for a while until she lands on a roof to rest)
• Courtney: *sniffs as she wipes off her tears and sings* Isn’t truth supposed to set you free? Well, why do I feel so weighted down by it? If I could show them everything I’ve seen. Open their eyes to all the lies then would they change their minds like I did? But, when I speak they tell me "sit down". But, how can I when I’ve already started runnin’. Oh, this is where we’ve been but it’s not where we belong and I maybe young but I know I’m not wrong. *looks up and sings* So, I look up at the stars to guide me and throw caution to every warning sign. *flies so high so that the Egg-forcers can’t see her as she looks at the Loop-de-loop and Hedgehog’s pass and sings* If knowing what it could be is what drives me. I’m past dipping my toes in but I’m not, no I’m not pass diving in. If I could be pointed in any given direction on where to go and what to do. • Rebel Rouge: No. The spies have looked everywhere.
• Ruby: You don’t suppose she’s run away, do you?
• Rebel Rouge: Unless she was captured by the Chaos Council.
• Blake: I’m sure she’s fine.
• Weiss: Blake is right, Rebel. I’m sure Courtney will turn up soon.
• (Courtney teleports in front of the group after using her alicorn magic)
• Sonic: Huh. Well, whad’ya know… It worked.
• Blake: *goes over to her with Ruby, Yang, and Weiss* Courtney! Oh, thank goodness our little sister is safe!
• Weiss: Where have you been, young lady? We were worried sick!
• Yang: We thought you were captured by the Chaos Council.
• Courtney: Don’t worry, I was just having some time to myself… That’s all…
• Ruby: We’re just glad that you’re safe. Don’t you ever go running off like that again, young lady! You could’ve been kidnapped by the Chaos Council.
• Rebel Rouge: Courtney, there’s something we need to tell you… We-
• Courtney: *turns away with her ears down, still upset with Rebel and Renegade* I don’t wanna talk right now… I just wanna focus on winning the fight against the Chaos Council.
