Meeting Tails Nine[]

(The door opens after Sonic put in the password)
Sonic: Tails, you crafty fox. *looks around* Finally something around here makes sense.
(Sonic and Courtney enter the lab after Sonic had entered the passcode for the door)
Courtney: *looks around with Sonic, nervously*
Sonic: Weird. Nothing about this is like Tails’ workshop.
Courtney: Yeah, I’m pretty scared of this place… It’s really creepy… *hides behind Sonic with her tail wrapped around her leg*
Sonic: *turns to see his fox friend* Yes! There’s my two-tailed genius friend. *goes over to him and turns him around* Surprise!
Courtney: Hi, Tails!
???: *growls*
Courtney: *her ears drop back in fear* Uh oh… He doesn’t look very happy to see us…
Sonic: Tails, it’s me. Your best-
???: What did you just call me? *deploys his seven robotic tails*
Courtney: *backs away from him, nervously after seeing him deploy his seven robotic tails* Uh… nothing… *laughs nervously*
Sonic: Uh… Tails?
Tails Nine: The name’s… Nine!! *pounces towards them*
Courtney: *screams and jumps out of the way along with Sonic as she activates her alicorn magic*
Tails Nine: *climbs up the walls with his robotic tails like a spider* What do you want?! *goes up to a lamp* Who sent you?! *shines the lamp on them*
Sonic: *covers his eyes*
Courtney: *shields her eyes with her wing*
Tails Nine: *jumps down and kicks Sonic back but he misses Courtney who ducks out of the way in the nick of time*
Courtney: Sonic!
Sonic: *gets the barrel off and dodges Nine’s robotic tails* How many tails do you have?!
Tails Nine: NINE!!
Sonic: *kicks him back*
Tails Nine: *pounces towards him but Sonic dodges and grabs him with his robotic tails*
Courtney: *charges towards Nine after seeing him grab Sonic with two of his robotic tails* Hey! Back off! *grabs one of the robotic tails with her super strength*
Tails Nine: *tries to shake Courtney off one of his robotic tails* Get off of me!!
(He throws them both out of the lab as the two heroes catch a train to escape but Tails Nine pursues them)
Courtney: *flies to dodge*
Sonic: *dodges by jumping from car to car* Tails, stop! We’re buds! Amigos! *gets to the top above the train tracks* Best friends!
Courtney: *lands next to Sonic*
Tails Nine: I have no friends! *uses his robotic tails to try and punch Sonic*
Courtney: *flies up and dodges*
Sonic: *dodging* No friends?! You have the best friends!
Courtney: *sees an incoming train* Sonic! Come on! *jumps on*
Sonic: *jumps on the train as Tails Nine jumps on the train too*
Rebel spy: *to Rebel Rouge* Targets located. We’re at the scareport.
Rebel Rouge: Loud and Clear. On our way.
(Renegade Knuckles and Rebel Rouge head to the scareport. Meanwhile, Courtney and Sonic were still avoiding Tails Nine who is still pursuing them)
Sonic: *dodges* You’ve been working out? Who’s your trainer? *gets hit by one of Nine’s robotic tails*
Tails Nine: I was trained by the misery of life in this foul and heartless city! *kicks Sonic back*
Sonic: Snap out of it! We go way back!
Courtney: Yeah! I remember when I first met you back in Soleanna when I was little and you and Sonic rescued me and Princess Elise the Third.
(They dodge and jump on another train before Nine could pounce on them as he jumps on the other train)
Sonic: All my best memories of Green Hill have you in ‘em and you’re not punching me!
(They keep on dodging, jumping from car to car)
Courtney: Sonic! I don’t think he’s listening to us! *flies back up to the top of the tracks with Sonic*
Tails Nine: *advances towards them*
Sonic: Don’t you want to go home? Blue skies? Sunny beaches? Palm trees?
Courtney: *sees another train coming* Hurry! *jumps down to catch a ride as Sonic follows her*
Tails Nine: *jumps down on the train as he approaches them* I don’t know what kind of mind games you’re playing but it won’t work! *pounces towards them as they both dodge but he slips off the side of the train and quickly grabs onto the train with his robotic tails* Whoa!!
Courtney: *gasps in horror after seeing this*
(Suddenly, an incoming train on the other side comes this way but Sonic and Courtney grab him out of the way in the nick of time before the train could hit him. They land near the lab)
Tails Nine: *pants* You saved me?
Courtney: *turns to him after shaking herself off* Of course we did! We couldn’t just let you get hit by that train. We had to do something.
Sonic: I’ve been trying to tell you that we are friends.
Tails Nine: Fabricated stories won’t keep me from beating you back, intruders!
Courtney: Don’t lie! I know you’re lying!
Tails Nine: I’m not lying, dog! It’s the truth!
Courtney: You say that it’s because it’s true but it’s not! I know because I can tell when others are lying.
Sonic: Stop. Just stop. We’re friends. Best friends. This has to ring a bell. From the very moment we first met, you were a happy, brainy little fox doing happy brainy little fox things. Some blockhead bullies were picking on you for having an extra tail. I ran by and they lost interest in being jerks.
Tails Nine: How do you know about that? That’s not how it happened… and you weren’t there. I was a kid, minding my business but not minding my surroundings. Some creeps came along and picked on me for having one extra tail. I took a beating. It was the same for years until I used my cunning fox brain to give me a real way to fight back. I take care of myself and need no one. Period. No one has friends here! Why do you think I live down here? To avoid everyone… you two included.
Courtney: *her ears drop down in sadness meaning that she feels sorry for him for being bullied for years and not having any friends as she sits a few inches away from him* I know how you feel… I was bullied too.
Tails Nine: *scoffs, thinking that Courtney was lying* A likely story.
Courtney: No, it’s true. I was bullied multiple times. Same for my friends and family. Whenever someone is bullying my friends, my family or myself, I get so mad that I lose my temper and use my magic against those bullies. I’ll spare you the details but let’s just say that my rampages involve dropping a grand piano on their heads and using them as basketballs. When I go too far, I end up scaring my friends and family. They sometimes call me nuts. And quite frankly, I don’t like being called nuts… It makes it sound like I’m a maniac. Sometimes, I’m just worried that I might go too far, then I might turn evil. And then, they’ll have to turn me to stone just like with my friend; Discord.
Tails Nine: *surprised after hearing that but turns away*
Sonic: *thinks* Doesn’t make sense. You are Tails, but you’re not. Here, but gone?
Tails Nine: So- so what else did we do?
Sonic: Well, first of all, you have the coolest plane.
Tails Nine: I do?
Courtney: Yep!
Sonic: It’s called the Tornado and we fought and busted Eggman like, so many times, I’ve lost track.
Tails Nine: You mean the Chaos Council?
Sonic: No, I mean Eggman.
Tails Nine: So, Mr. Dr. Eggman, then?
Sonic: Sure. Sounds good. Look, we’ve had our share of ups and downs, but when we stick together, we never lose. And when all is said and done, there’s no better reward than sharing a chili dog with your best pal. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We’ve got a lifetime of adventures and memories together.
Tails Nine: Um, I-I think your shoes are smoldering.
Courtney: Uh oh, that’s not good.
Sonic: Of course they are… What else can go wrong in this crazy place?
Tails Nine: *groans* The only thing I despise more than people in my space is whiners. *takes out a strange gun device*
Courtney: *yelps after seeing it*
Sonic: Wait! I thought we just had a bonding moment.
Tails Nine: Stay still. *uses his device to scan Sonic*
Courtney: *amazed by this*
Tails Nine: *looks at the readings* Curious. There’s low level energy throughout your entire body. But, possibly a regulator could…
(Suddenly, Courtney’s alicorn magic starts glitching out)
Courtney: Hey, what’s going on?! *unintentionally fires a beam of magic which pushes her back* Whoa!! *hits the wall* Oof!!
Sonic: *ducking out of the way with Nine* Courtney! This is not the time for playing around!
Courtney: *shakes her head as the magic beam stops* I didn’t mean it, Sonic! It just happened! *goes back over to them*
Tails Nine: *uses his device to scan Courtney and looks at the readings* Looks like your powers are not attuned to this place either. Maybe, I can find a way to stabilize your powers. I can develop a serum that can help but I need a blood sample from you in order to make it. Follow me. *uses his robotic tails to head back to the lab*
Courtney: Okay! *flies to follow him as she flies next to him and turns to face him* By the way, I’m Princess Courtney Elison. But, you can call me Courtney.

Team CRWBY arrives[]

???: Courtney!
Courtney: *sees her big sisters!* Ruby! Yang! Weiss! Blake!
Blake: Are you alright?
Yang: Are you hurt?
Courtney: Don’t worry, I’m fine. Sonic’s fine too.
Ruby: *sighs in relief while holding her little sister* Thank goodness…
Weiss: We were so worried, Courtney. *pets her little sister’s head*
Tails Nine: Who are you?! What do you want?! *deploys his seven robotic tails as a means for defense*
Ruby, Yang, Weiss, and Blake: *gets out their weapons while standing in front of their little sister, ready to fight*
Courtney: *gets in between Nine and her big sisters* Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm down! No need for violence! *turns to Tails Nine* I don’t believe you haven’t been properly introduced yet. Nine, these are my big sisters; Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long. *to Ruby, Yang, Weiss and Blake* Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Blake, this is Tails Nine.
Tails Nine: It’s just Nine.
Ruby: *puts Crescent Rose away* Nice to meet you, Nine. *holds out her hand for a handshake*
Tails Nine: *hesitates until he shakes her hand and lets it go* It’s strange that you have a dog for a little sister. *to Courtney* I don’t see the resemblance between you and them.
Courtney: *flies next to them using her alicorn wings as she shrugs* Yeah, you’ll get used to it. Even though we’re not blood related, we’re still Ohana.
Tails Nine: What’s Ohana?
Courtney: Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. It’s something that I learned from a friend of mine and we always live by that motto.
Tails Nine: Right. *has a bottle of serum in hand that he completed* Anyways, the serum is complete. It’ll help you stabilize your powers in this world.
Courtney: Perfect. And it’s about time too. My powers are already starting to go on the fritz.
(Her alicorn magic glitches out by activating and deactivating)
Tails Nine: *puts the serum in a syringe* Alright. It’s ready.
Courtney: *scared after seeing the syringe as her ears drop back in fear* Wow… That’s a big needle! *climbs up her big sister’s arm and hides in Ruby’s cloak meaning that she doesn’t want to get poked*
Ruby: Uh oh… Nine, we forgot to tell you. Courtney’s… afraid of needles…
Tails Nine: *rolls his eyes* Oh, great… Just what I need, a princess who’s afraid of needles… Worse than whiners…
Ruby: It’s okay, sis. Come on out. You’re a huntress and huntresses aren’t scared of anything.
Courtney: *comes out of Ruby’s cloak, slowly*
Ruby: *holds her little sister in her arms and brings her down to Nine’s height as she sets her down*
Tails Nine: Okay. I’m gonna need you to hold Courtney still.
Ruby: Got it! Yang? Weiss? Blake?
Weiss, Yang, and Blake: Right. *helps Ruby keep Courtney still*
Tails Nine: *to Courtney* It’s gonna pinch a bit, so just relax. *inserts the syringe needle into her back near her scruff as he injects the serum*
Courtney: …! Yeowch!!!
Tails Nine: *finishes injecting the serum* Okay. That’s it. You can let her go now.
Ruby, Yang, Weiss and Blake: *lets their little sister go*
Courtney: *shakes herself off* Ooh… *rubs her back*
Ruby: Don’t rub it, sis. It’ll only make it worse.
Courtney: Okay, Ruby. Ouch… I don’t mean to be blunt, Nine. But, why did you have to give a shot in the back?
Tails Nine: It’s the only distribution point for injected medicines. Unfortunately.

Tails Nine and Sonic captured![]

Sonic: Oh-ho, these are killer! No more slipping and sliding, no smoke. Thanks, Tails. I mean Nine. Time for a test drive! *speeds off*
Tails Nine: No, wait, you dope! It’s not safe! *goes after Sonic*
Courtney: We’d better stop him before he gets himself into trouble! Come on, let’s go! *flies after Sonic with her big sisters*
(Sonic exits the pipe and out into one of the alleyways)
Sonic: Hey, if the mad scientist slash loner thing doesn’t work out, you should get into fashion accessories. Stylin’!
Tails Nine: Shh! We need to maintain a low profile. The council has eyes everywhere.
Courtney: Let me guess, is the council lurking in that big yellow building in the center of the city? *points to the building*
Tails Nine: The Yoke? How’d you know?
Courtney: Eh, not my first time taking down an evil villain.

A rescue mission[]

Courtney: *removes the invisibility cloak, covering her and her big sisters as she sees Tails Nine and Sonic captured by one of the members of the Chaos Council* Oh no! This is terrible! *sneaks, carefully and quietly along with her big sisters* We gotta do something if we wanna save Sonic and Nine!
Weiss: But, how? This place is crawling with robots. And we have no idea of how we’re going to get into the Yoke. This council has eyes everywhere, just like Nine said.
Courtney: We gotta try! I’m not giving up on Sonic and Nine. They need our help.
Yang: There’s really no stopping you, huh little sis?
Courtney: Nope. Nothing is gonna stop me from rescuing my friends. *activates her alicorn magic and is about to take off after spreading her wings out*
Rebel Rouge: Well, the least you could do is think of a plan before you fly off recklessly.
Courtney: *turns around to see Rebel Rouge and Renegade Knuckles* Rouge? Knuckles?
Renegade Knuckles: How do you know our names?
Courtney: Uh, lucky guess? But, there’s no time to chit chat! My friends have been captured by one of the members of the Chaos Council and my big sisters and I need some help to rescue them. Can you help us get into the Yoke?
(The two look at each other and nod yes as they turn to Courtney and her big sisters)
Rebel Rouge: Follow us. But, stay low.
Courtney, Ruby, Yang, Weiss, and Blake: *nods yes in understanding and follows them while staying low*
