Scenes

The Grim starts to decay/A royal hostage

• (Back inside the crystal fortress, Tails Nine was watching the Grim slowly decaying away on a monitor)
• Tails Nine: I’m running out of time. My world will never be completely safe without Sonic’s energy. *looks at the Angel’s Voyage sinking on one of the other monitors* Time to finish what I started. *uses the Prism’s energy to create two more Grim Birdies from the Alpha* If Sonic wants to save those pirates, he’ll have to come and get them. Grim Birdies, bring the pirates to me!
• (The Grim Birdies fly out of the fortress to go capture the pirates. Courtney was awake and chained up against the wall, stripped of all her weapons. She had the shackle around her neck that prevented her from using her alicorn magic and elemental powers and she had handcuffs on her wrists that Tails Nine had invented that’ll shock her if she tried to break them off)
• Courtney: *grits her teeth and tries to get the handcuffs off her wrists by trying to break them with her super strength but they shock her as she screams in pain and winces from the pain of the electric shock*
• Tails Nine: *goes over to her using his seven robotic tails* It’s no use, Courtney. *kneels down to her height* Those specialized cuffs don’t come off that easily. The more you struggle, the higher the voltage and the tighter they’ll get.
• Courtney: Don’t be so smug! There’s always another way. *about to bite the handcuffs off*
• Tails Nine: *grabs the back of her head to stop her from biting the handcuffs off* And don’t even think about trying to bite them off! *puts a muzzle on her*
• Courtney: *tries to take the muzzle off but had no luck due to her paws being cuffed together* You’re not gonna get away with this, Nine! Sonic and my master; Shadow will come and save me! Same for my big sisters! *her ears drop back in anger* Just you wait!
• Tails Nine: Well, we’ll see about that. As soon as I get Sonic’s prism energy, the Paradox Prism will be complete! And then my new world will be perfect!
• Courtney: *glares at him* Have you ever considered checking into Arkham Asylum, Nine? ‘Cause quite frankly you’re insane and so is that idiot plan of yours! The energy from the Paradox Prism is too strong for you to handle and it’s damaging your mental health! If you keep this up, you’ll destroy yourself and the Grim in the process! Not to mention, the whole Shatterverse! Please, you have to stop this before it’s too late-
• Tails Nine: *turns towards her, angrily while using his seven robotic tails to raise himself up and loom over her* I’ve told you before!! Don’t you dare call me or my plans insane!! And just to make sure that you get the message… *takes out a controller*
• Courtney: What are you-?!
• Tails Nine: *presses a button to make the cuffs shock her*
• Courtney: *screams in pain from being electrocuted and then it stops as she drops to the ground while groaning in pain from the electric shock from the cuffs*
• Tails Nine: *holds up the handcuffs controller while seeing Courtney get up, slowly* If you ever call me or my plans insane again, I’ll turn up the voltage on those cuffs with this controller. So, you be a good little dog and maybe I won’t have to use it.
• Courtney: *growls at Tails Nine while narrowing her eyes at him and thinks to herself* Scoundrel!
• Tails Nine: Just think of those cuffs as bracelets.
• Courtney: Bracelets that electrocute you!
• Tails Nine: They’re supposed to be functional, not fashionable.
• Courtney: *looks at the handcuffs* Looks like something an insane person would wear. *turns to Tails Nine while smirking* Why don’t you try them on?
• Tails Nine: *grits his teeth and growls angrily after hearing that* Shut up! *pushes the button to make the cuffs shock her again after turning up the voltage*
• Courtney: *screams in pain and drops to the floor from the pain of the electrocution but the cuffs stop shocking her after a few minutes as she coughs after being shocked by the cuffs and getting up, slowly again* Okay, okay! You’re the boss! I get it! I’ll give you anything you want, Nine. Just please spare Sonic!
• Tails Nine: That’s better. *puts the handcuffs controller away* You’ll stay chained up until Sonic comes to me. And don’t even think about trying to escape. When my demands are met, you’ll go free. *goes back over to the Paradox Prism by flying back up to it but then turns to her* Oh, and uh, one more thing. If I hear ANY kind of insult out of you… You know what might happen… *about to take out the handcuffs controller*
• Courtney: *flinches at the idea of getting electrocuted again after seeing Tails Nine about to grab the controller* No! Please! I beg of you, don’t do it! *shakes in fear while covering her face with her paws*
• Tails Nine: *sees Courtney all scared and shaking of the thought of being electrocuted again* Heh, looks like you finally understand what I meant. Now, be a good dog. *uses his robotic tails to extract energy from the Paradox Prism*
• Courtney: *uncovers her face and watches him extract some of the energy from the Paradox Prism* What have I done? I shouldn’t have let my guard down when that Alpha Grim Birdie snatched me up. *her ears drop down in sadness* And now, Sonic’s in danger because of me… *starts shedding some tears as she looks at Tails Nine who is still using the Prism’s energy* The only way Nine will let me go is if Sonic gives in to his demands… He-He’s really left me with no choice, hasn’t he…? *looks down* Sonic…
• Tails Nine: *hears Courtney say Sonic’s name and turns to her*
• Courtney: *dubbed as Naminé* Even if you come for me— What then? *starts crying as she covers her face with her arms and lies down on the floor*

A dilemma

• (Back at the Yoke in New Yoke City…)
• Ruby: *sitting against the wall in tears while hugging her knees close to her chest* How could I have let this happen…?
• Rebel Rouge: *kneels down to her* You’ve been asking yourself that for the past hour, Ruby. It’s not your fault.
• Ruby: Yes it is, Rebel! Courtney is OUR responsibility and we made a promise to her mother and Aunt Luna that we would protect her. And now look what’s happened, she’s now in the clutches of that traitorous monster Nine. *sheds more tears*
• Renegade Knuckles: *kneels down in front of Ruby and puts his hand on her shoulder to reassure her* Don’t worry, Ruby. She’s going to be okay. We’ll find a way to get her back. We just need to solve this dilemma.
• Ruby: You’re right. But, how? Nine won’t let her go unless Sonic gives himself up. And if we take the fight to Nine, who knows what he’ll do to her… Not to mention that her life could be at risk here.
• Renegade Knuckles: It is risky but we can’t allow that traitor to harm her.

Always There

• (While Nine was busy using the Prism’s energy, Courtney was really terrified after Nine had threatened to shock her again if she ever tried to insult him and his plans again or even thinking about trying to escape from him. Not to mention that she was starting to get very weak and tired. She was also in a lot of pain after being electrocuted by the handcuffs on her wrists a couple of times)
• Courtney: *looks at the bandanna that her big sister; Ruby made for her along with the vibranium emblem pin which is a copy of Ruby’s that she made with her magic as she sheds more tears meaning that she misses her big sisters, terribly* Oh, Ruby… Girls… I miss you… I miss you all so much…
• (The music starts)
• Courtney (voice): *sings* Always there to warm you in the winter. Always there with shelter from the rain. Always there to catch you when you’re falling. Always there to stand you up again. Family.
• Weiss (voice): *sings* By your side, in seconds if you ask it. Arms out wide to welcome you to stay. Near enough, to listen to your heart’s song. Always there to help you on your way. Family.
• Courtney (voice): *sings* Family.
• Both: *sings* Family.
• Sonic (voice): *sings* What is a family? Caring and devoted hearts.
• Blake (voice): *sings* With endless love to share.
• Sonic and Team CRWBY (voices): *sings* Love that will follow you anywhere.
• (Team CRWBY sheds some tears and huddle up in a group hug meaning that they miss their little sister and Courtney misses them too)
• Courtney (voice): *sings* Always there to welcome you in winter.
• Weiss (voice): *sings* What is a family?
• Sonic (voice): *sings* Arms out wide to welcome you to stay.
• Courtney (voice): *sings* Right by your side.
• Weiss (voice): *sings* Near enough…
• Courtney and Weiss (voices): *sings* To listen to your heart’s song.
• Sonic (voice): *sings* Always there to help you on your way. Family.
• Weiss (voice): *sings* Always there.
• Courtney (voice): *sings* Family.
• Blake (voice): *sings* Family.
• All (voices): *sings* Family.
• (The song ends with Courtney laying down and looking at the ground still in tears)

Ready as I’ll Ever Be

• (Tails Nine was using the energy from the Paradox Prism to create his perfect world but didn’t know that it was starting to damage his mental state)
• Tails Nine: Any moment now, your highness.
• Courtney: *her ears drop down*
• Tails Nine: *sings* Believe me I know, I've sunk pretty low. But, whatever I’ve done, you deserved.
• Courtney: Nine-
• Tails Nine: Quiet! *sings* I'm the bad guy, that's fine. It’s no fault of mine and some justice at last will be served.
• Courtney: Please listen-
• Tails Nine: *sings* Now it’s time to step up or it’s time to back down and there’s only one answer for me. And I'll stand up and fight 'cause I know that I'm right! And I’m ready, I'm ready, I'm ready… Ready as I’ll ever be.
• (At the Yoke in New Yoke City, everyone was talking about how to stop Nine until Weiss steps forward)
• Weiss: *sings* Now it's time to rise up or it's time to stand down and the answer is easy to see. *draws her sword* And swear by the sword if you’re in get on board! Are you ready?
• Renegade Knuckles: *sings* I’m ready!
• Everyone: *sings* We’re ready. We’re ready.
• Weiss: *sings* Ready as I’ll ever be.
• Ruby: Sonic!
• Sonic: Ruby! There you are!
• Ruby: Sorry, I had to tune up my gear.
• Sonic: *sings* Are you quite sure we can do this?
• Ruby: *sings* Together we will guarantee!
• Tails Nine: *sings* I’ll make them hear me!
• Everyone: *sings* Now it's time to redeem or it's time to resolve.
• Weiss: *sings* Prove they can trust me.
• Everyone: *sings* And the outcome will hardly come free.
• Ruby: *sings* I’ll save my home and family.
• Everyone: *sings* Now, the line’s in the sand and our moment’s at hand.
• Renegade Knuckles: *sings* And I’m ready.
• Rebel Rouge: *sings* I’m ready.
• Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Blake, and Sonic: *sings* I’m ready…
• Tails Nine: *sings* Ready as I’ll ever be.

Sonic surrenders himself to Tails Nine

• Sonic: Nine!
• Tails Nine: So, you finally come to your senses?
• Sonic: Hardly. But, I’m ready to give myself up.
• Tails Nine: Finally.
• Sonic: But, I want some assurances first.
• Tails Nine: Like what?
• Sonic: You’ll agree to spare my friends and let Courtney go.
• Tails Nine: Agreed.
• Sonic: And you’ll promise to rebuild their worlds back to the way they were.
• Tails Nine: Deal!
• Sonic: Alright then, let’s go!
• (A portal to the Grim shows up as Sonic spin dashes towards the portal)
• Rebel Rouge: Sonic, stop!
• Renegade Knuckles: Get back here, blue!
• Black Rose: Don’t be a fool!
• Ruby: No, Sonic!
• Sonic: *goes through it and lands in front of the crystal fortress*
• (Back inside the crystal fortress, Courtney was still crying, guilty about putting Sonic in danger all because she let herself get captured after letting her guard down. Not to mention that she really misses her big sisters and she wants to be with them again)
• Tails Nine: *turns to Courtney* I have some good news for you, Courtney. You’re being released from my custody. Sonic has finally give in to my demands and he’s on his way here to me.
• Courtney: *lifts her head up but still had her ears down in sadness* I’m… glad… *a tear comes out of her eye and rolls down her face*
• Tails Nine: *goes over to her and kneels down in front of her* But, I’m warning you. *lifts her face up with his finger while holding the handcuffs controller in the other hand which made Courtney scared after she saw it* You’d better not try anything funny or else I’ll use this controller to make the cuffs shock you again. Do you understand me, little one?
• Courtney: I understand… But, please… Don’t electrocute me again…!
• Tails Nine: *pets Courtney on the head a bit* Good dog. Now, let’s not keep Sonic waiting. *unlocks the chain from the wall and leads her outside*
• (Sonic approaches the fortress where the Alpha Grim Robots are standing guard)
• Tails Nine: Don’t worry. *pushes the robots aside with his robotic tails* Beneath the surface, my new friends are far simpler than the flawed creatures you knew and loved. And all the more loyal for it.
• Sonic: Ever wonder where we’d be if things had gone differently between us?
• Tails Nine: *folds his arms* Not anymore.
• Sonic: I do. All the time.
• Tails Nine: *scoffs* You had your chance.
• Sonic: Right back at you, bud. *sighs* Should we get this over with?
• Tails Nine: You know, after all this time, I think I finally understand you, Sonic.
• Sonic: I’m fast, funny, and love a good chili dog. What’s not to get?
• Tails Nine: You want to save everyone. Friends, foes, total strangers. You say it’s because you’re a hero and that’s what heroes do. But deep down, after what you did, destroying your own home, it’s the only way you can ever live with yourself. Even if that means you won’t live at all.
• Sonic: There’s a good chance neither one of us walks away from this.
• Tails Nine: I’m aware of the risks, thank you.
• Sonic: If I don’t make it and you do, how do I know you’ll keep your promise?
• Tails Nine: Don’t worry, your "friends" and the princess are safe. Once I have your energy, I can restore everything. They can have their silly lives and their silly spaces as long as they leave me alone.
• Sonic: Fair enough. But, can I at least see Courtney before you drain my energy?
• Tails Nine: If that’s what you want… *to Alpha Grim Sonic* Bring out the princess!
• (Alpha Grim Sonic brings Courtney out who is still has the shackle and the chain on (which Alpha Grim Sonic holding on to), still had the muzzle on her, and the electric shock handcuffs that are still on her wrists. Not to mention that her fur and ears were a mess from being electrocuted by the cuffs a few times)
• Courtney: Sonic! Don’t do it! There has to be another way!
• Sonic: I have no choice, Courtney. I can’t afford to lose you.
• Tails Nine: *deploys his seven robotic tails*
• Sonic: And for what it’s worth, I would have done the same for you.
• Tails Nine: Don’t lie to me.
• Sonic: I’m not-
• Tails Nine: Don’t!
• Sonic: Think whatever you want. But, it’s true. Even after everything you’ve done, everything we’ve been through, together, against each other. You’re still my friend, Nine.
• Tails Nine: *surprised after hearing that as he puts his seven robotic tails away*
• Courtney: Please, Nine! You have to reconsider! Just let me go and we’ll restore everything including the Grim! We can wipe the slate clean. Start over.
