Shadow saves Sonic

• (Before the trooper could destroy Sonic, Shadow comes up from behind and smashes it)
• Sonic: Shadow, you’re alive! Help a brother up?
• Shadow: *helps Sonic up* We are not related.
• Sonic: *sighs* Never mind. You okay?
• Shadow: I survived. Nine’s alphas deployed a massive army to keep me down here.
• Sonic: Alphas? You mean the ones that can duplicate themselves?
• Shadow: If I still had that chaos emerald, I could have teleported out of here. But, it’s lost to the void. And smashing hordes of Sonics isn’t the worst thing in the world. *looks around and notices that Courtney is not with Sonic* Wait, where’s Courtney?
• Sonic: Nine has her. He’s holding her hostage.

Way to escape from Nine

• Courtney: *paces back and forth as she sighs* What am I going to do? *looks at the battle going on down below the citadel* I gotta find a way to escape and help Sonic! But, how? *looks around for a solution to help her with her escape until she gets an idea and starts using one of her claws to try to pick lock the handcuffs after checking to see that Nine wasn’t watching* Come on, come on…
• (The handcuffs don’t unlock meaning that they had an advanced locking mechanism)
• Courtney: *groans in frustration as her ears drop back and talks quietly to herself* Pick locking cuffs looked a lot easier in the movies.
• Tails Nine: Hey! What are you doing over there?
• Courtney: *hides her cuffed wrists under her while laying down and secretly trying to unlock the handcuffs with one of her claws* Uh, nothing… *laughs nervously*
• Tails Nine: Don’t tell me that you’re thinking about trying to escape.
• Courtney: What? No! Never! *looks to her left, avoiding eye contact with him* What would make you think I would do such a thing?
• Tails Nine: Do you really take me for a fool? *takes out the controller for the cuffs and presses the button to make the cuffs shock her*
• Courtney: *jumps up in pain after being shocked by the handcuffs* Yeowch!!! *lands on her paws and winces in pain as she holds her cuffed wrists and turns to Nine* Will you stop doing that?!
• Tails Nine: *puts the controller away* I won’t stop doing that unless you stop thinking about trying to escape from me. *uses his robotic tails to tower above her* I keep having to repeat myself. It’s simple!
• Courtney: *her ears drop down in fear*
• Tails Nine: You will earn your freedom when I get Sonic’s energy.
• Courtney: *maintains a brave, strong face while staring at Nine* I don’t care, Nine! I’ll do whatever it takes to get away from you! And you’re not my keeper, no one is! Nothing or no one is gonna stop me from getting back home to my family!
• Tails Nine: *lands on the ground after using his robotic tails to tower above her* Well- You- *growls angrily* Your grandmother kisses rattlesnakes!
• Courtney: *gasps after hearing that and points at Nine while glaring at him* You take that back!!
• Tails Nine: Try me and see what happens.
• Courtney: *unsheathes her claws, angrily and tries to scratch him*
• Tails Nine: Whoa! *gets back to avoid getting scratched by Courtney as he gets the handcuffs controller out* Down, girl! *presses the button on the controller to shock her*
• Courtney: *screams in pain from being electrocuted and drops to the floor while groaning in pain*
• Tails Nine: Naughty, naughty, Courtney. Didn’t anyone teach you that scratching other people is bad?
• Courtney: *groaning in pain as she gets up, stumbling* How could you treat people like this? *gestures to her handcuffed wrists*
• Tails Nine: It was the same way that I was treated when those creeps picked on me for having one extra tail. And now, you get to feel what I felt for years!
• Courtney: You don’t have to do this!
• Tails Nine: You won’t talk me out of getting Sonic’s energy, so don’t even try!
• Courtney: It doesn’t matter, Nine! I’m not gonna stop until I get away from you! Do your worst!
• Tails Nine: My point exactly! *presses the button on the controller to make the cuffs shock her again after turning up the voltage*
• Courtney: *screams in pain*

Reassurance from an old teacher

• (Courtney was really weak, tired and in a lot of pain from being electrocuted by the handcuffs on her wrists. She was laying down in tears, worried about what might happen to her)
• Courtney: *sheds some tears while talking quietly to herself so Nine couldn’t hear her* I don’t know what I can do… I feel so tired… Every time I try to escape, Nine will shock me with the controller to the handcuffs… What am I going to do? I’m running out of time…
• (Suddenly, the voice of her old teacher from Beacon Academy; Professor Ozpin was heard in her head)
• Ozpin (voice): Stay calm, Courtney. Everything is going to be okay.
• Courtney: Ozpin? *rolls over and lays on her back, looking at the tears in the sky as the dome disappears and reappears while still talking quietly* I don’t know what to do or how to escape from Nine… Every time I try to escape, he’ll keep shocking me… I feel so tired… So weak… Not to mention, scared… *sobs quietly while covering her face with her handcuffed paws*
• Ozpin (voice): Don’t worry, Courtney. It’s okay to be scared.
• Courtney: *uncovers her crying face* …?
• Ozpin (voice): Everyone gets scared at times even huntsmen and huntresses. It’s only natural to be that way at times like these. That’s what makes you a huntress… But, I assure you that everything is going to be okay. You’ll find a way to escape.
• Courtney: *turns her body over* You’re right, I will find a way… I just need to look for a new angle. I’ll find a way, I’ll find a way…
