These are the side stories of Courtney's Adventures of Mermaid Magic.

Chapter 1: The Curious Cat in Pirates’ Cove!

• (Courtney was relaxing on the beach, getting some sunbathing in until she heard a crowd of people screaming and running away which woke her up)
• Courtney: Huh? What’s going on? *sees a lightning beam being fired off* No, it can’t be-! *rushes over to the scene and sees her old foe from the Ever After; the Curious Cat!* The Curious Cat?! *growls angrily and charges at them*
• Curious Cat: Those poor defenseless humans, so weak. Confused! Incomplete!
• Courtney: That’s enough, you mangy feline! I won’t allow you to harm these people! And I demand that you leave this place at once! That’s a royal order!
• Curious Cat: *rolls their eyes and scoffs* Like I’m going to take orders from the likes of you. I’m too powerful for you! Who’s going to stop me? You? All alone?
• ???: Well, good thing she’s NOT alone!
• (Merlinda, Sasha, Nerissa, Tyler, Celia, and the rest of the Thunderbolts arrive at the scene)
• Courtney: Guys! What are you doing here?
• Merlinda: We saw the beam of lightning from the rescue center. So, we had to investigate.
• Curious Cat: Well, are these people new friends of yours?
• Courtney: *protects them as she activates her alicorn magic and speaks to them in a death threatening tone* Back off! *her ears drop back in anger* Or else, I’ll blast you!
• Curious Cat: If you insist… *hisses and fires a roaring beam at her*
• Courtney: *uses her alicorn magic to shield herself from the roaring beam*
• (The Curious Cat clashes with Courtney)
• Merlinda: We gotta help her!
• Anakin: *stops Merlinda and her friends from interfering* No! Stay back! This is Courtney’s fight!
• Sasha: But, Anakin! She could get killed!
• Zak: Don’t worry, Sasha. Courtney is more than capable of handling the Curious Cat in a fight. And she knows how to fight them.
• Merlinda: How can you be so sure?
• Zak: Courtney told me everything about the cat and she knows their weak points.

Chapter 3: Christmas in Pirates’ Cove

• (It was Christmas time in Pirates’ Cove and everyone was getting their holiday shopping done. At the Marine Rescue Center, Courtney was busy wrapping presents for Tyler, Celia, Merlinda, Nerissa, Sasha, Beau Jr, and her family)
• Courtney: *hums "Jingle Bells" while wrapping her presents to her friends and family*
• Sasha: Hey, Courtney!
• Beau Jr: *barks at Courtney to greet her*
• Courtney: *picks up the present she wrapped and sees Merlinda, Nerissa, Sasha, and Beau Jr in the doorway* Oh! Hi, girls! Hi, Beau Jr!
• Merlinda: You seem busy.
• Courtney: Of course I am. That’s because I’m busy wrapping Christmas presents for my family. I also have some presents for you guys as well. But, you can’t open them yet. Not until Christmas.
• Merlinda: Christmas?
• Nerissa: What’s Christmas?
• Courtney: Well, Nerissa. It’s a very special holiday! It’s to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. *shows them a nativity piece of baby Jesus in a manger from her nativity set*
• (A storybook segment about the birth of Jesus Christ was shown as it begins with Mary and Joseph traveling to Bethlehem with their donkey)
• Courtney: *narrates the story* A long, long time ago, Mary and Joseph were traveling together with a donkey from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. But as they reached the city of Bethlehem, there was no room for them at the inn. So, they took shelter in a stable filled with animals and later on that night, Jesus was born. Then, a bright star appeared in the sky informing a group of shepherds about his birth. And he was visited by 3 kings who gave him gifts.
• (The segment ends as it cuts back to the present)
• Merlinda, Nerissa, and Sasha: Wow…
• Courtney: I know right? It’s such a beautiful story. And that’s why we receive gifts on Christmas morning. Not to mention that I love doing my special family Christmas traditions like going out into the forest and getting our Christmas tree. As a matter of fact, I’m just about to head out! *puts on her snow cap and scarf* Wanna come?
• Merlinda: Sure.
• (They get their winter clothes on and follow Courtney out into the forest to help her find the perfect Christmas tree)
• Courtney: Alright. Which one of these bad boys should we chop down?
• Nerissa: *points to a huge tree* What about this one?
• Courtney: No, that one’s too big. Besides, it would get stuck in the door.
• Nerissa: You do make a valid point.
• Sasha: *points to a tiny tree* What about that one?
• Courtney: Naw, that one’s too tiny. *turns around to see the perfect Christmas tree as she gasps* Perfect! *flies over to the tree* Alright! Let’s chop this bad boy down! *takes out an axe* Stand back! *uses the axe to chop the tree down as it falls* TIMBER!!!
• (The tree falls to the ground with a thud)
• Courtney: It’s perfect! This will make a fine Christmas tree! But, first we need to plant a new tree. We can’t just take from Mother Nature, we have to give back. *digs a hole and places a pine tree sapling in the hole* Can you add a little bit of water in this hole, Merlinda?
• Merlinda: Sure. *uses her water powers to put a little bit of water in the hole*
• Courtney: *puts the dirt back in the hole and pats it down all around the sapling* There. Now, let’s get this tree back to the rescue center. *lifts it up with her super strength and carries it*
• (Back at the rescue center, the tree was stood up and it had a tree skirt on the bottom)
• Courtney: Tree’s all stood up. Now, the fun part begins! You got the decorations?
• Merlinda: Yep! *gestures to the box of decorations* Got ‘em right here! Now, how should we set them up?
• Courtney: Allow me. *grabs the string of lights from the box* Lights go on first. *activates her alicorn magic and flies up while holding the string of lights*
• Nerissa: Are you sure this is gonna work?
• Courtney: Trust me, Nerissa. This’ll only result in success.
• Nerissa: Surprise me then.
• (Courtney flies around the tree at high speed to put up the lights and then she plugs them in as they shine)
• Courtney: Ta-da!! Pretty impressive, eh?
• Sasha: It’s beautiful!
• Beau Jr: *barks happily after seeing the tree all lit up*
• Courtney: But, the buck doesn’t stop here. We need to hang some ornaments on the tree.

Chapter 4: Courtney’s birthday barbecue

• (It was January 26th at the Marine Rescue Center in Pirate’s Cove. Zak and the rest of the Thunderbolts were busy setting everything up for Courtney’s birthday while she was having fun at the beach)
• Zak: Okay, guys. Let’s get to work. We’ve got a lot to do for the party.
• Sasha: *shows up with Nerissa, Merlinda, Celia, and Tyler* Did someone say "party"?
• Zak: Yep!
• Sasha: *squeals in excitement* I love parties!
• Beau Jr: *barks excitedly*
• Merlinda: Who’s this party for, Zak? Is it for you?
• Zak: No, Merlinda. It’s not for me, it’s for Courtney. It’s her birthday today. And every year, we do something special with her. *takes out Courtney’s birthday book and opens it* For example, we had a birthday picnic in the 100 Acre Wood with Winnie the Pooh and his friends as our guests of honor. Or when she sang "The Middle" at Supernatural Academy as her performance. Not to mention that time when she and Pinkie Pie made a blueberry pie with a pink crust down at Sugarcube Corner. You know Courtney, it had to be pink. *closes the book*
• Anakin: *setting up a bounce house with Ahsoka* Zak! Could you give us a hand with the bounce house?
• Zak: Sure, Anakin! *rushes over to help Anakin and Ahsoka with setting up the bounce house for the party*
• (The bounce house inflates as Anakin and Ahsoka hammer pegs into the ground to make sure that the bounce house doesn’t get blown away)
• Anakin: Perfect!
• Nerissa: What kind of sorcery is this?
• Tyler: It’s a bounce house. It’s what we jump on for fun.
• Zak: *gets up on the bounce house after taking his shoes off* He’s right. Come on, Nerissa! It’ll be fun!
• Nerissa: I will not partake in this nonsense.
• Rainbow Dash: Come on, Nerissa! Don’t be such a stick in the mud! *gets up on the bounce house*
• Pinkie Pie: Yeah, bouncy houses are fun!! *gets on the bounce house too and jumps around* Whee!
• Zak: *laughs while bouncing around with Pinkie and Rainbow*
• Sasha: Ooh! I want a turn! *gets on the bounce house after taking off her shoes and bounces along with Zak, Rainbow, and Pinkie* You’re right, this is fun!
• Anakin: Alright, guys. Save the bouncing for later. Right now, we got a lot more work to do for the party.
• Zak: Okay. Let’s go, guys!
• (Everyone works together to get everything ready for the party tonight)
• Zak: Perfect! All of you did an amazing job!
• Merlinda: I hope Courtney will love this party we put together.
• Zak: I hope so too, Merlinda.
• Rainbow Dash: *sees Courtney coming back from a day at the beach* Guys! She’s coming!
• Zak: We gotta hide, quick!
• (They all hide and wait to jump out and surprise her)
• Courtney: Hello? Anyone here?
• Everyone: *jumps out* Surprise!!
• Courtney: Wow!

Chapter 5: Valentine’s Day in Pirate’s Cove

• (It was Valentine’s Day in Pirate’s Cove. Courtney was out and about, taking an early morning walk on the beach and seeing all the happy couples)
• Courtney: *vocalizes like Princess Aurora while walking along while she was wearing her pink heart charmed choker and her pink flower behind her ear*
• (After that walk, Courtney returns to the Marine Rescue Center)
• Courtney: *continues vocalizing like Princess Aurora*
• (The marine animals were enjoying her singing)
• Sasha: *watching from inside* Wow! Courtney has a beautiful voice!
• XR: Yep! That’s one of the things I love about her so much. *sighs happily* She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me… My beautiful, loving, caring wife…
• Merlinda, Nerissa, Sasha, and Tyler: Wife?!
• Celia: I didn’t know that you and Courtney were married.
• XR: It’s true. We are married. *sighs romantically* I still remember the time when I proposed to her at the Grand Galloping Gala. It was the best night of my life.
• Merlinda: I bet it was.

Chapter 6: Studying Sea Turtle nests

• (It was a beautiful sunny morning in Pirate’s Cove, Zak and Courtney were gonna go study some sea turtle nests and record some data on their migratory journey to lay their eggs, estimate how many nests there are on the beach, and how many eggs have hatched by request of Celia and Tyler)
• Zak: *wearing a green cap with a turtle logo on it and holding a clipboard along with a bag full of essentials like sunscreen, water, and other things that are needed* Courtney! Come on! We gotta get down to the beach before it becomes too crowded!
• Courtney: *wearing the same green logo cap as her big brother as she rushes over to him* Coming, Zak! Got everything we need? Clipboard?
• Zak: Check!
• Courtney: Sunscreen?
• Zak: Check!
• Courtney: Lunch?
• Zak: Check!
• Courtney: Alright! Perfect! We’re all set. Let’s get going! *runs off and heads to the beach*
• Zak: Hey, wait for me! *follows Courtney*
• (As they were rushing to get to the beach, they bumped into a familiar fox)
• Courtney: Sorry, we didn’t see you there. *picks up the stuff that fell out of the bag and looks up to see her fox friend; Tails Nine* Nine! It’s so good to see you!
• Tails Nine: It’s good to see you too, Courtney. *helps her pick up the stuff that fell out of the bag* What are you and your big brother doing here?
• Courtney: We’re going over to the beach to study some sea turtle nests for some friends of ours. You wanna come along?
• Tails Nine: Uh, sure.
• Courtney: Now you’re talking! Come on, let’s get over to the beach before it becomes too crowded.
• (They head down to the beach after putting on some sunscreen and see only a few people there)
• Courtney: This is perfect! We picked a good time to show up. Now, let’s get to work.
• Zak: Right. Courtney, do your stuff.
• Courtney: *nods yes to him and starts sniffing to track down where the sea turtle has been and where the nest is*
• Zak: Come on! *follows her*
• Tails Nine: *follows Zak and Courtney*
• Courtney: *gets to the edge of the ocean* According to my calculations, the sea turtle must have come from this direction and crawled up further down the beach. *finds a set of tracks left by the sea turtle called a turtle crawl* Look! A turtle crawl!
• Zak: Good eye, sis!
• Tails Nine: What’s a turtle crawl?
• Zak: They’re a set of tracks left behind by the sea turtle. I’m guessing you guys never had sea turtles in New Yoke, right?
• Tails Nine: Uh, no. We’ve never had or seen any sea turtles.
• Zak: Well, each species of sea turtle has their own unique crawl pattern. *kneels down to study the turtle crawl* And judging by the width and pattern of this turtle crawl, it must’ve been a Loggerhead Sea Turtle.
• Courtney: Ah, I love Loggerhead Sea Turtles! They’re my favorite species! Let’s follow it up further and see if we can find a nest! *follows the turtle crawl up the beach*
• Zak: Courts! Wait up! *follows her*
• Tails Nine: *follows right behind them*
• Courtney: Guys, look! I found it! And it looks like some of the baby turtles have left the nest and made their way down to the water. Let’s see how many have hatched! *goes over to the nest and starts digging into it until she finds something in the nest* Hey, I think I found something. *takes out an eggshell that has been open meaning it has hatched* Take a look at this! I found one that has hatched. *gives the eggshell to Zak and continues digging into the nest until she finds something else rather than a hatched eggshell* Uh oh…
• Zak: What is it, sis?
• Courtney: *pulls out an egg that didn’t hatch which means it didn’t make it* Look at this egg. It’s not hatched and I don’t sense any life in it whatsoever.
• Tails Nine: That’s terrible. Poor thing…
• Courtney: It’s okay, Nine. It’s all part of the Circle of Life. Besides, we have pretty good hatch rate here. *continues digging into the nest to find more hatched eggshells* Found some more! Let’s count them out.
• Zak: Celia told me that Loggerheads can lay eggs between 45–200 per nest, with an average of around 100 eggs. So, I’m guessing this nest may have 130 eggs if I’m right.
• Courtney: Well, let’s find out. I’ll find the hatched eggshells and you count them out.
• Zak: Got it!
• (They count out the hatched eggshells)
• Tails Nine: So far, we’ve counted over 126 eggshells.
• Courtney: Hey, I found something!
• Zak: What is it?
• Courtney: *reveals that she found a little loggerhead sea turtle*
• Zak: Whoa! A baby sea turtle!
• Courtney: And wait, there’s more than one! *pulls out a second one out of the nest*
• Tails Nine: Whoa!
• Zak: Two baby sea turtles!
• Tails Nine: *holds it, gently* Whoa…
• Courtney: That’s a little loggerhead sea turtle. They were trapped at the bottom of their nest. Why don’t let these guys go to the ocean?
• Zak: Good idea, sis!
• (They head towards the sea and place the baby sea turtles down as they head towards the ocean)
• Courtney: Let’s hope we’ll see these guys in a few years when they come back to lay their eggs.
• Tails Nine: That was the greatest thing I’ve ever done!
