Courtney's Absol is a Dark-Type Pokemon. Absol met Courtney when she was on a hike in a canyon and she accidentally slipped off the side of a cliff. When she was about to fall into the canyon, Absol saved her. Courtney thanked Absol for saving her life and as a result, Absol wanted to go with her and she happily accepted it.
