Claire Nuñez (voiced by Lexi Medrano) is Jim's friend and love interest. She is a feisty, kind, jolly, sarcastic, curious, and intelligent tomboy who enjoys books and is a talented martial artist and gymnast.

The Shadow Staff (also know as Skathe-Hrün) is a magical staff capable of opening portals to other places and creating a shadow over the users useful for trolls needing to get around in the sunlight. Originally in possession of Angor Rot, it was taken by Claire and used as her weapon of choice. When being used it completely turns black, it can fold to a pocket sized stick. The Shadow Staff utilizes the negative emotions of it's user to open inter-dimensional shadow portals
