Berk is a small island that serves as Hiccup's home. "It's 12 days north of hopeless and a few degrees south of freezing to death." At first, Vikings and Dragons where mortal enemies here. But Hiccup helped bring harmony between the dragons and Vikings, and now Berk is a home for them both. In Berk, "it snows 9 months of the year, and hails the other 3, anything that grows here is tough and scarce, and the people that live here are even more so. The only upsides are the Pets. While other people would have dogs, or parrots, we have Dragons."
