Ben (Voiced by Sam Elliot) is a cow and the adoptive father of Otis. He was once the leader of the Barnyard before his son. One night when he was guarding the fence line, a pack of coyotes led by Dag plundering the chicken coop. He fought off Dag and his pack and saved the chickens. He falls on the ground, exhausted. He dies and is buried on a hill by the farmer.
